Mac Pro Longwear Concealer Review.

This will be my first post for my new 'Mini Review Sequel'. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday i will be writing up a review on make-up products out of my collection. These products will be chosen by all of you! To kick it of was a choice between Mac Cosmetics 'Pro Longwear Concealer' and LimeCrime Makeup's Valvetine's range.

The Pro Longwear Concealer won, so here it is:

I first purchased this in NW25, as recommended from the sale's girl at my local Mac counter, after going home and giving it a try i instantly found it way too dark and that it brought a lot of darkness to my eye area (which is what we are trying to avoid!) I then held it up to my Studio Fix Fluid (My shade is NW20) and new straight away it was too dark.

Of course with all of the hype around this concealer i wanted to give it another go to really see if it was as good as it's said to be. I went back the week after and bought the shade NW20 in the intentions of mixing to get my preferred shade. I gave my new concealer a go when i returned home and found it to be spot on, so i guess ill keep the darker one to mix in for the summer time as my skin tone changes quite dramatically.

Over all opinion:
I do like this concealer and continue to use it everyday. As for being know for the most 'creaseless' concealer on the market: i'm not so sure! From day one i've experienced creasing underneath my eyes with this product. The concealer instantly sinks into any fine lines under my eyes and even into my pores, making them much more noticeable! This is quite the disappointment considering the fact i've never experienced creasing with any other concealer i've tried or own. However the coverage is great and hides anything i need it too! It's very long wearing and continues to hold its coverage throughout the day. I also like to drag this onto my eyelids for the perfect eyeshadow base. One other down side to this product is the controversial pump! This doesn't worry me all to much, but the over all product would last me twice as long if it wasn't for the wastage caused buy the pump dispensing to much product, i'm now going to depot my concealers to prevent any more wastage and send those containers back to mac!
