Most of the time in the evening after going home I watch. I used to watch the CIR continuously in the evenings as they normally take the sessions to till sometimes 10PM.
Sometimes in C-Span2 they even tell what bills are going to be taken or display as a Marquee.
Also, its a learning to see how the senate works. Its fun sometimes.

its just that i am feeling u might be missing something here, though i am still not convinced eitherway, but at the least, its contradictary and raises some questions about our conventional net wisdom.
I am interpreting this as I see it. I am not a lawyer to interpret this correctly. We should leave this to some good lawyers to interpret it correctly.
In one of the threads someone verified this with lawyers at fragomen.They said there is nothing to worry about this as long as you have your EAD and AP.

You make several wild sweeping assumptions here. One, the fact that we came here looking for opportunity so many years ago means that the "opportunity" will be available for a lifetime. That is blatantly false - It is like saying everyone loves to stay in a 5 star hotel; therefore everyone wants to stay FOREVER in a 5 star hotel.
Second, you must be totally ignorant of current affairs to say that returning to India is an exception, not a rule. The list of Indian american citizens who returned to India is a virtual who's who list - almost every week I read a story about some big shot Indian american returning to India to settle down there, including VCs like Vani Kola, pharmaceutical R&D big names etc. And these are in reputed publications like WSJ, NYT etc, not some mom and pop desi magazine. Why did they return ? Certainly not because of immigration reasons. I doubt for sentimental reasons either - they returned for OPPORTUNITY. Yes, the very same opportunity for which they left the mother country. Like they say, the only thing constant in this world is change - thats even more true in this globalized world. It helps to keep an open mind and be on the lookout for opportunities everywhere.
Returning or not is a personal decision based on personal circumstances and opportunity - we don't have to make sweeping generalizations to justify our decision. Just state your reasons and leave it at that.

Yesterday I called up for appointment for my Medical examination at Milwaukee, WI. They told me $160 for medical examination(offcourse they dont accept insurrance) and +30 +60 for Vaccination and if X-ray needed then it will cost more. I have taken an appointment for next week Tuesday.
But question is that is it necessary to go to USCIS listed civil surgeons ?
Oh yeah one more thing. They ask me to carry last I-94 and I-693 form and Photo ID. Looks like these people are well train on what to ask for.

Restrict the comments to your personal situation/career in a very objective manner, how retrogression has affected your career, how going back to your home country may/may not be the right choice, why staying back in US may/may not be the right choice?
Based on the rational discussion here, we would be able to guide the next generation of potential immigrants (your friends, relatives, fellow-country men and women) or give information to the press back in our home country to present the correct picture of the current US immigration system, benefits/down-falls, etc.

leaving some unfortunate guys like me still waiting for 485 receipt many got EAD's and the situation wont change big even if this happens and god forbid. IF the aim is screw Desi companies they can impose wage rule. but the key point is waiting rules that dont let any hiring by big companies. I dont think big companies that want to do H1 can wait 6 months for make a decision on H1. Its tough for any business to wait for these periods.

1) Somebody who is really good in literary English writes the format of
summary of what has been done by USCIS in illegal way and how it has
shattered or going to shatter the life of thousands of family. And how that
decision has screwed up the very fundamental and ethical base of
democracatic functioning in a law bound operating society.
2) Send flowers individually to USCIS or flower truck to USCIS with multiple
copies with signature/s on above letter
3) Send (Cc) the same to following entities with a note that we have sent
the main flower tray and copy of letter to USCIS.
- Local Senators (If IV is sending then almost all senators)
- White House
- DOS
- Fox News (Especially to O'reilley)
- CNN (Especially to Lou Doubbs)
- ABC News
- MSNBC
- CSBC
- New York Times
- Washington Post
- Wall Street
NOTE: I would not beg for "Sympathy" and I assume all members here also have a straight and strong spine and would not beg for Sympathy. It is our moral and ethical right to challenge USCIS and we want to challenge USCIS and this way of sending flowers should be chosen to challenge USCIS not for begging sympathy.

whether they are concerned with only a part of it or not, the fact that it appears on their website implies an endorsement of his views. if they are claiming there is a problem with H-1bs, then they need something to fix it, and matloff provides that.
this is exactly why we have to take advantage of it, and say that matloff also suggests this proposal for reform.
by the way, this would greatly benefit new H-1bs since it does not limit them to one employer. when you get out into the workforce you will understand how important that is
